CREATE/VIEW/EDIT CALL REPORTING
Purpose: The purpose of this program is to provide the user with the ability to create, view, or edit the details of a call.
CREATING A CALL:
Screen Options:
- Date of Call (required) - This will default to the current date but can be changed.
- Sales Rep (dropdown/required)
- Call Type (dropdown/required)
- Customer Search (required): The user can begin entering a customer’s name, number, street address, city, or phone number. As the user enters the information, a search will be performed returning a list of customers that match the input and are available for selection. The user selects the customer for this call; all information associated with this customer will populate the fields in this section.
- Employee (dropdown): Once a customer is selected the employee dropdown options will be available for the selected customer.
- Customer Attention (required) - The user can manually enter the attention name or select from the dropdown options for 'Customer Email' below.
- Customer Email (dropdown/manual input/required) - The user can manually enter the email address or select from the dropdown options. If selected then the name associated with the email will populate the 'Customer Attention' field above.
- Customer Email (CC) (manual input/dropdown) - If the user needs to assign a second email for the customer, a selection can be made from the dropdown or manually entered.
- Pending Account Name: This field can be used if the customer is not already in the customer database and in lieu of adding the customer a generic 'Unknown Customer' is selected. The user can populate this field with the name of the customer. At some point the showroom will want to come back and re-assign the call to a known customer in the database.

Submit: Selecting 'Submit' will generate a new call with the above entered information. Upon selecting 'Submit' the screen will now display options for entering detail items to the call. NOTE: In addition to the required fields a 'Customer Attention' and 'Customer Email' must be populated in order to create a new call.
Cancel: If selected, the user will be redirected to the 'Call Reporting Inquiry' screen and no 'Call' will be created.
Existing Detail Section (only displays after at least one-detail record has been added): This section will display a list of detail entries for this call.

- Actions:
- Remove - Selecting this will allow the user to remove the detail record
New Detail Section (only displays after a 'call' is created): This section allows the user to enter detail information for the call.
- Line (dropdown/required) - Select a line from the dropdown.
- Item Search: The user can begin entering an Item Number or Style Name. As the user enters the information, a search will be performed returning a list of items (within the Line selected) that match the input and are available for selection.
- Item Number: If an item is selected in the above field this field will auto populate. However, the user can change the information at any time.
- Style Name: If an item is selected in the above field this field will auto populate. However, the user can change the information at any time.
- Color Name: If an item is selected in the above field this field will auto populate. However, the user can change the information at any time.
- Comments/Reason for Visit - This open text box can be used for any comments/reason for visit.
- Showed New Collection (checkbox)
Create Detail: If selected, a call-detail record will be created with the information entered above.
Exit Call: If selected, the user will be directed to the 'Call Reporting Inquiry' screen.
VIEW/EDITING A CALL:
NOTE: If the Call being viewed is considered canceled then a 'red' notice of the cancellation date will display. In addition there will be a 'Restore Call' button available for selecting. While in 'Edit Call Reporting' if a call has been canceled there will be no ability to edit the call. If the user wishes to change information on the call the call will have to be 'Restored'.
Screen Display (some fields are read-only):
- Date of Call
- Sales Rep
- Call Type (dropdown/optional) - The 'Call Type' displayed is the current setting, but can be changed if necessary. The user can select from the dropdown options.
- Customer Search: If the customer needs to be changed for this 'call' - The user can begin entering a customer’s name, number, street address, city, or phone number. As the user enters the information, a search will be performed returning a list of customers that match the input and are available for selection. The user selects the customer for this call; all information associated with this customer will populate the fields in this section.

- Employee (dropdown): Once a customer is selected the employee dropdown options will be available for the selected customer.
